H is for Hawk- H is for Hawk is a 2025 biographical drama film directed by Philippa Lowthorpe, who co-wrote the screenplay with Emma Donoghue, based on the 2014 memoir by naturalist Helen MacDonald. It stars Claire Foy, Brendan Gleeson, Denise Gough, Sam Spruell, and Lindsay Duncan.

The narrative interweaves two strands: Macdonald’s personal bereavement and the practical and psychological challenges of falconry.

Eliot Smith Dance is delighted to host a three-day Youth Dance Intensive this August. ESD is an award-winning contemporary dance company known for its dynamic performances and inspiring work with young people.

Open to ages 8–17, this exciting opportunity invites young people of all experience levels to explore movement, creativity, and performance in a supportive environment led by professional artists. Participants will also play a key role in launching the new Northumberland Youth Dance Group (NYDG), beginning in January 2027.
